I was just thinking along the lines you suggest-that it might be possible to make a decent replica of an LC-2 by modifying an EL-3a model.

I will turn to the Archives, and see if the necessary drawings are available to make an informed decision.

I sent a copy of the N&W Electric Book in an effort to Marklin in an effort to interest them in the project, but so far have not received any response. The Virginia electric model produced by Alco would substitute for the LC2 as they both used the common Westinghouse design.

Has an N&W LC-2 model ever been produced in HO, in brass or otherwise?  Has any importer ever seriously considered doing such a model?
