Although the intensity of the exchanges in this thread are eye-opening, the thing that has captured my interest is that the model(s) depicted in the pictures shown so far are genuinely attractive and impressive.  I guess I need to get out of my HO mind-space a bit and learn more about 3rd rail models!

 Once again Harold, I think you are dead wrong about the color!

 "Other items to be changed would be the location of the bell. ( the bell sat on the pilot beam after the cooling grills were cut into the pilot shield. Before this change the bell was on top of the boiler and was never attached to the underside of a step.)"
