Paint color

[NW Modeling List]

I realize that this is not relative to the subject at hand, but does anyone know where I can get an HO N&W J series 611 Steam Engine, DCC either Rivorossi or Broadway Limited? I have been looking for one for the last 2 months.  I think that the fact that it is running again in prototype might have something to do with it here.. This photo:  https://www.nwhs.org/archivesdb/detail.php?ID=120838  Also looks black to me.  Look at the transition from 4115 to 1013.  The colors look the same.  Have you seen this photo?  http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=204974  It looks black there.  If it was in this black (as delivered) scheme in 1978, it wasn’t ever blue.  Looking at other locomotives that were still blue that late, they have almost all faded to the point where you don’t need to guess if it’s blue or black.  The photo here:  http://www.trainweb.org/randysrr/nw/nw_alco.htm  While it says “still blue” is less that definitive.  I’ve seen black locomotives that have faded like that. Subject: Re: Paint color  Guys,  While still looking for photo evidence before proceeding with decaling on the 1013,  I found this slide:  Slide - NW13121 for a GP38AC photo which is coupled to the 1013 in Hagerstown.  While the 1013 appears blue does anyone possibly know the date of the photo.  I am trying to confirm she may have stayed blue till retirement.  Thanks in advance,James Wall
