This can be a dangerous discussion.  A long time ago I mentioned to a PRR extremist that I couldn't tell the difference between Brunswick Green ("") and black, and was treated to a 15 minute lecture, delivered with great vigor, how the 1920 something PRR Official Painting Guide clearly delineated which parts of which locomotives were supposed to be painted Black and which parts were supposed to be Green.
