I might add the N&W got a two-fer this year, with an O scale 2-rail pike N&W featured in Model RR Planning 2020. May be awhile before that happens again.

In the April issue of Model Railroader magazine there is a very nice article about Gary Hoover’s excellent HO scale layout based on the N&W and the Virginian in the 1954 through 1957 time period. In addition to replicating certain locations on the N&W in Virginia and West Virginia, Gary also recreated several scenes made famous by Winston Link’s photos. The N&WHS makes several cameo appearances in the article as Gary mentions that he bought several station kits from the Society, and he references the Society’s online archives.
