Are you going to give us an article on your scratchbuilt H9? It’s something I’ve contemplated, but never got around to doing yet.

This obviously is not the solution for those who want a full train of H9's. BTW: I just finished scratchbuilding an H9 in styrene. Not the solution if you want a full train of them, but a lot cheaper than the brass kit. (and probably didn't take much longer to put together) As far as I can remember, nobody has ever offered the H9 commercially before (in HO anyway)
