Long ago I picked up a Walthers (I think) mail car made by Rivarossi, that had the right body, but wrong roof and trucks. I took the roof from a Rivarossi streamlined mail car, cut it shorter, and added Walthers Pennsy trucks, similar to the ones on the M1.
It’s still not done, but it will hopefully be close enough.

Thanks for the info. Only done in brass probably means it would take ten years to even find one, hmmm it looks a bit like the PRR M70. Perhaps I'll use that as a a stand in.
