ClipMate 6.5 - Ready Now!

ClipMate 6.5 adds Search & Replace to the editor, including a "RegEx"
option.  And have you ever wanted to paste a clip as plain text
without all of the formatting that often accompanies data copied from
web pages and word processors?  The new "outbound clip filter" will
allow you to easily paste any (non-graphic) clip as plain text,
without destroying the original HTML and Rich Text formats.  It also
has a new "URL Crunch" feature, which will re-wrap a badly wrapped URL.

ClipMate Tip - URL Crunching

The URL is so long that it wrapped onto multiple lines. Normally, you'd
need to patch it back together by hand - but not any more.  ClipMate's
Line Break removal tool has an new "Crunch" mode, where it will flow
them back into a single line, without introducing any extra blanks.
Normally, the line break removal WILL insert blanks in place of
removed line breaks, to keep words from flowing together.  That's
great for paragraphs of text, but not for URLs where you don't want
any extra spaces.  To use the "Crunch" feature, hold down the SHIFT
key as you click the "Remove Line breaks Button" on the editor toolbar.

Translations
------------
We've had a lot of interest with regard to our new translation kit for
ClipMate 6.5.  Translations for German and Russian are well under way,
and several other languages are also in development.  They'll be
available on our download page when they're ready. 

Mozilla / Firefox - Source URL
------------------------------
Are you a Firefox user?  You will notice that ClipMate doesn't pick up
the "source url" from Firefox. This is a shortcoming in Firefox, and
there is a bug, and even a FIX for it. However, it's not in the
shipping Firefox product.  If this feature is important to you, make
your wishes known to Firefox - ask them about bug #24485.

UPDATING
--------
The current release is v6.5.06, released on Dec 1, 2004. If you are
running any other 6.x version, you can just download and run the
installer to update your existing copy. Your registration key, and
data, will remain. If you are running a registered copy of version 5
or earlier, we invite you to download version 6 for a free, 30-day
