[DesignII] Version 8.50 of DESIGN II for Windows

This email is to notify you that version 8.50 of DESIGN II for Windows is now available on our website at
www.winsim.com/download.html .

This is a major upgrade release of DESIGN II for Windows.  This new release has the following changes:
1. Added full dialog support for the Controller unit module for all set, vary and until commands
2. Added full dialog support for the Depressurizer unit module for all commands
3. Updated the Depressurizer unit module to the 7th edition of the API 520 document and added several new commands including a new
vent mixture command (vent vapor is default)
4. Converted all US flowsheets to use the Metric grid (1.0 cm instead of 0.5 in grid) so that you can easily copy and paste between
all flowsheets
5. Added 23 new items plus a configuration dialog for the Excel data results transfer
6. Added two new pure components to the pure component database, 4182 - Glycerol and 4183 - Oleic Acid
7. Added crude curve properties, viscosity, etc to the stream dialog
8. Changed the water default from miscible to immiscible in the Peng-Robinson thermodynamic methods
9. Added Air Cooler, Plate-Fin Heat Exchanger and Line modules to the Controller equipment list
10. Fixed a bubble point pressure calculation problem by limiting the lower starting pressure
12. Increased the Inline Fortran runtime subroutine maximum data storage from 8,000 to 100,000
13. Miscellaneous small enhancements and fixes (see release notes)

If you are on MSS or a Program Usage Agreement, then please download the new version.  If you have trouble downloading the update
from our website, please send an email to admin at winsim.com requesting the CD be mailed to you.

Please note that the Password algorithm was changed for the 8.50 release.  If you choose to download the new release, please email
support at winsim.com with your serial number for a new password if you are on a current MSS or PUA agreement.

You may testdrive the new release by downloading it (18 MB) from our website and installing it.  Run DESIGN II for Windows and a
dialog will come up with your Computer ID and ask you for a Serial Number and Password.  You can get a Serial Number and Password
emailed to you from www.winsim.com/gen2wkps.html on a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week basis.
