Subject: [DesignII] version 9.34 of DESIGN II for Windows

This email is to notify you that version 9.34 of DESIGN II for Windows
is now
available on our website at www.winsim.com/download.html .

This is a maintenance release of DESIGN II for Windows. This new
release
has the following changes:
1. Added a water miscibility print to the stream and equipment results
headers
2. Added a warning about the need to treat water as an immiscible
component
when with hydrocarbon systems and there is non-soluable water
3. Fixed several three phase flash calculations problems with mixtures
of natural
gases, ethylene glycol and water (also mixtures of natural gas,
methanol and
water)
4. Changed the unit module initialization code so that feed streams to a
unit
module are automatically reflashed if the k-value method, enthalpy
method or
the water miscibility is changed for the unit module. Previously,
only the stream
enthalpy was recalculated if the unit module enthalpy method was
changed.
5. Improved the liquid amine specific heat calculations using industry
standard
data. Also added heat of solution and excess volume of solution to
aqueous
amine mixture calculations. Note, this change will cause significant
changes
in the calculated enthalpy results for amines and aqueous amine
mixtures.
6. The Mass Balance unit module now checks itself for convergence and
tells the
recycle sequencer when it is not converged yet so that the recycle
calculations
will not end prematurely
7. Increased the internal limit on section height in Amine Columns to
200 feet or
200 trays
8. Miscellaneous small enhancements and fixes (see release notes
at http://www.winsim.com/media/relnotes.chm )
