There's no doubt in my mind that the VG History Museum will hit their
$30,000 mark. I wish them all the best and can't wait to see what comes
from their kickstarter campaign!

I haven't been able to track down any of the members yet but I'm hoping
they will be at PAX and able to join us for lunch.

The first annual face-to-face meeting of The Consortium of Interactive
Media Preservation Logistics, or CIMPL, will be on Sunday, August 28th
at 12:30 at the Cheesecake Factory a block or two away from PAX Prime.
We will do lunch and an hour+ brainstorming session to discuss avenues
for collaboration and universal best practices development for Museums,
Libraries, Archives and private collectors.

Some of the areas to be discussed are storage environments,
shelving/storage taxonomies, data migration/integrity, analog to digital
capture, international nomenclature glossary development, artifact
acquisition methods, money and much more! We hope to have an alpha
doctrine published within 6 months with a new revision published every
subsequent 6 months.

Please consider joining us and invite others who may be interested.
We'll be in the main lobby of the convention center at 12:00 with a
CIMPL banner and will leave for lunch at 12:20. I have about 10 people
from various disciplines confirmed attending and the reservation is for
20 people. More than 20 are welcome though! I'm sure they can fit us
in. The place is HUGE.

Website and incorporation are to follow shortly but unfortunately not in
time for PAX.

See you there!
