[game_preservation] a useful site?

Ah yes, I had just looked this up not too long ago. The guy who makes this
is in Poland. I was up for getting one, but heard they were coming out with
an updated version.

Right now, it's $120 US from the ebay store (roughly the same on the Polish
site).

I was actually curious what some thoughts were here on this type of
replacement for storage media. SD cards could have a 10-year lifespan as a
media standard, but we'll have to see (CD-ROMs have been around for way more
than 10 years and are still easy to purchase, though most have gone to
DVD-R). Using SD cards for floppy disks means if you have the disks backed
up, you can play them on the original hardware. This makes the original
hardware the conceivable bottleneck rather than the storage media.
