Hello,

Another example of the game world doing good! Thinking there are people interested both in offer items to auction as well as purchasing items to round out collections. Or at a minimum passing on the good word...

Best,
~Susan

Subject: [women_in_games] Play For Japan: spread the word!

Hi all,

I'm part of the coordination effort for Play For Japan , a gaming industry campaign designed to promote online auctions of gaming memorabilia to aid the earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan. 100% of donations will go to organizations such as the American Red Cross, Global Giving, Save the Children and Unicef. In just a few days we have already gathered the support of several game publishers and developers and have appeared in an article on USA Today.

We started the campaign because we were inspired by Game Informer's Meagan Marie, who auctioned her Nintendo DS signed by Miyamoto and other Nintendo luminaries (it just sold on Monday for $4,050!). We have some cool items on auction right now and we're adding new ones daily. For a complete rundown of what we have, check our auction list .

What I'm asking you is to help us by contributing whatever gaming memorabilia you or your company are willing to auction for a good cause. Even if you can't, please help us spread the good news as much as you can. We have a main website and a press release and we're on Twitter , Facebook and Tumblr .

Thanks for your support!

--Elisa
