[game_preservation] Release date of the Odyssey?

Excellent work, Frank and everybody. I did come across the following
article references in my search through the Magnavox legal papers last
night:

Article on Magnavox ODYSSEY from the Wall Street Journal for May 11,
1972 (CDIPX 7B, MPX 78)

Article on Magnavox ODYSSEY from the Television Digest for May 15, 1972
(CDIPX 1C, MPX 79)

Article on Magnavox ODYSSEY from Time Magazine for May 22, 1972 (CDIPX
7D, MPX 80)

Those were submitted as evidence for the 1984 Activision v. Magnavox
trial. The WSJ article was already mentioned by Brian, but I thought
I'd include it for completeness (it's interesting to know what the
lawyers knew about).

On a related subject, with all these attachments flying around, perhaps
we should set up an archive of scans of source material like this that
would be free for any researcher to access. Mainly so future historians
(presumably those not connected to this group of people) don't have to
go through what we just did to figure out (and confirm) the launch date
of a particular machine.

There may be copyright issues, but I'd be willing to risk hosting select
newspaper and magazine clippings on my server. It could be a big date
and fact archive with numbers like launch dates and retail prices that
only come from hard sources.

Regards,
Benj
