Just to clarify, there’s no National Game Museum in Korea.
The only museum that have video game related programs in this region is Nexon Computer Museum<http://www.nexoncomputermuseum.org/> :)

Well over 300 graduate schools in the US have video game related programs. Not many have extensive libraries though.

I'm sure there are others, but organizations which might want stuff off the top of my head...

United States

* Library of Congress
* The MADE
* SIMM
* Videogame History Museum
* Strong National Museum of Play
* Stanford
* Living Computer Museum
* University of Texas at Austin
* New York University
* University of Michigan
* University of Maryland
* University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaigne
* University of Washington
Worldwide

* National Videogame Archive (England)
* Computerspiele Museum (Germany)
* VIGAMUS (Italy)
* MO5 (France)
* Ritsumeikan University (Japan)
* National Game Museum (Korea)

I'm sure Bonaventura would want a package.

Yeah, I really don't want to make a huge project out of this, I'm just asking the group to throw out some names of places that might benefit from these so I can start organizing. I'm obviously not going to send packages to everyone, but if there are like ten or fifteen places that would clearly benefit I'm happy to send out care packages before figuring out what to do with the excess. Thanks!

Yikes, lord no. That's going to be a big list, and a big project. We should use some sort of wiki, or something along the lines of hackerspaces.org<http://hackerspaces.org>: that is a big editable list of preservation institutions and their addresses...

Yes, I'm aware of The MADE and Stanford, I'm asking the group if there might be institutions and archives and universities I might not have thought of that I should send some of these to. My plan right now is to inventory and try to get one of everything to the places that need them. I doubt either of you need 200 copies of Shellshock: Nam '67 or Project Snowblind.

Frank, bring it to the MADE and we'll take whatever's left to Henry.

Hey group,

This is probably one of those things that we should be formally putting together anyway but, for now, does anyone want to help put together a list of places that could use software, mainly for PC, PS2 and Xbox? I have a U-Haul's worth of software from Eidos from around that era (and slightly before on PC) that I saved from being dumped, I want to make sure it all goes to the right homes.
