The University of Utah's Entertainment Arts and Engineering (EAE)
program is seeking to hire a faculty member at the assistant professor,
lecturing level, beginning Fall 2016. This is a non-tenure track
position. Exceptional candidates at higher ranks will also be considered.

Seeking to build upon its reputation as a world-class professional games
education program, EAE is looking for professionally oriented
instructors in Game Arts, Design, Engineering, Production or Technical
Arts. If you are interested in teaching the next generation’s leaders in
games and interactive entertainment, we strongly encourage you to apply.

Candidates for this position should have an established track record
creating games and/or teaching game development. Applicants must have
earned a terminal degree in a relevant field and demonstrate an ability
to mentor and teach effectively.

The University of Utah is a Carnegie Research I Institution. The EAE
program was founded in 2007 and is currently ranked as the number 1
graduate and number 2 undergraduate program in the world, according to
the 2015 Princeton Review rankings. EAE has demonstrated leadership in
the interdisciplinary domain of video game research and development.

The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City, the hub of a large
metropolitan area with excellent cultural and recreational
opportunities. A vibrant local game community offers opportunities for
interesting collaborations, including Disney Interactive, EA Salt Lake,
Chair Entertainment (a division of Epic Games), Eat Sleep Play, and many
others. Additional information about EAE and our current faculty can be
found at http://eae.utah.edu

Interested candidates should provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae,
teaching statement, and names and contact information for at least three
references to be considered. Applications should be sent to Corrinne
Lewis (corrinne.lewis at utah.edu).

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis starting January 2016
and will continue until the position is filled.
