Hey all,

Man, what a wacky weekend last weekend was -- going to see the Yams on  
Friday, helping a friend move Saturday morning, playing a Killdevils  
show in the evening with 3/4 of the usual lineup missing, and I'm not  
sure I even remember what I did on Sunday ... but in the end it worked  
out well enough.  Thanks to Bob Asprinio, Ed Hardy, and Kate Katzberg  
for helping keep a somewhat chaotic Nick-a-Nees show fun and on track.

Ah, I should also mention that on Monday I put up a new free mp3 up at  
<http://music.jwgh.org/freemp3.html>.  This week, it's my rendition of  
Andy Breckman's great song 'Railroad Bill'.

But all that is in the past, and I will speak now of the future, for  
that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives.

The Empire Revue is a cabaret/variety show which is held on the first  
Sunday of every month.  It's always a good time, and I hope you can  
make it!  I'll be doing a song (performed only once for a small  
audience at an open mike) and rumor has it that the Sentimental  
Favorites may also be making a rare appearance.

I'll be performing as part of the Midweek Madness variety show, hosted  
this week by Rory Raven.  It'll be my first time performing in a  
comedy club, and also my first time performing in a casino.  We'll see  
how it goes!


Sunday February 14 -- 2-PIECE KILLDEVILS SHOW -- AMERICANA BREAKFAST

Chris Monti and I will be doing an acoustic Killdevils show, the first  
we've done in the while, at the Liberty Elm, where you can also get  
some fantastic pancakes (or quiche if you prefer).  Check it out!   
We'll be playing for tips.  (And have a good Valentine's Day.)


Sunday February 14 -- SONGWRITERS IN THE ROUND

This is RISA's 'Songwriters in the Round' series, where four  
songwriters each perform four songs in the round, with the third song  
being written on an assigned theme. I'll be hosting the show, with the  
other three songwriters being JAN LUBY, KEVIN G. MOORE, and CHUCK  
WILLIAMS.  The theme is BAD TIMING.  So far I've got a chorus and a  
verse, so with a little more work ... hopefully I'll get it done on  
time!


And this is a bit further ahead than I usually like to go, but I may  
as well plug once again my first New York show ever:
