I kind of took the summer off, and I'm at a bit of a loss to say why. But September's coming, and it's jam-packed with shows; I hope I get to see you at one of them!

One thing of particular note is that I've been asked to put together the lineup for one of the stages at the Providence Folk Festival, which is on Sunday September 7 from noon to 6 pm. I listened to a ton of music in the course of picking out the eight performers who I ultimately asked to play, and Tracie Potochnik agreed to co-host the stage with me, and we'll play a few songs together. See below for the full lineup!

I'll also mention that the first episode of my podcast, 'Tell Me About Your Song', was released last year on September 1, so it's been going right around a year. It's been a lot of fun, and, if you haven't checked it out yet, the last couple of episodes are among my favorites. Check 'em out at http://tellmeaboutyoursong.com/ !

OK, here's my ridiculous schedule for the next month:

Sunday August 31 - FARMER'S MARKET
----------------
WHEN: 11 am-2 pm
WHERE: Petersen Tree Farm, 451 Putnam Pike, Rt. 44, Chepachet, RI 02814

I'll be playing solo for tips during this farmer's market. Come down to buy some greens and listen to some music!

Friday September 5 - OPEN MIKE FEATURED ACT
------------------
WHEN: 7:30 pm
WHERE: The Vanilla Bean Café, 459 Deerfield Road, Pomfret Center, CT 06259
COVER: $5

The Vanilla Bean is a gathering place for some great musicians, and I'm really happy to have been asked to be the featured act at their open mike. Bring an instrument and play some songs, or just come to listen to the music!

Sunday September 7 - PROVIDENCE FOLK FESTIVAL - w/TRACIE POTOCHNIK
------------------
WHEN: noon-6 pm
WHERE: Roger Williams National Memorial, 284 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02903

The 1st annual PROVIDENCE FOLK FESTIVAL will be a FREE music festival featuring some of the finest folk, acoustic and singer-songwriter acts in the RI area on two stages of music. Tracie Potochnik and I will host the RISA stage, which will feature some great local solo and two-piece acts. It's all completely free!

COVER: $8

This month's Empire Revue is titled 'The Empire Revue Presents Rhode Island: The Musical!' and I'll be playing my song 'The Ballad of Anne Hutchinson' as part of it. The Revue is always fun, and I'm pleased to be a part of it this month!
