[JakeShows] Music livestream about to start; new single out; CD release parties update

Hi all,

Today I releasing the third (and final) single off of 'Totally Awkward' today, the Bakersfield-style country song 'Poor Innocent Boy'. It should be on most or all streaming services, including:

The rest of the album will be out on Friday October 4 — or I should say the rest of the albums, as I’ll be releasing both an album of mostly original music called Totally Awkward and an album of mostly jug band songs with Richard Haller and Lauren Monroe the same day!

To celebrate the release of the single, I'll be doing a music livestream in just a few minutes, at 6:30 pm US Eastern Time.

I’ll be playing the guitar and taking requests. No account or special setup is required to watch, but to participate in the chat, you’ll need a Twitch account. As noted above, the full album will be out on October 4, when I'll release both Totally Awkward and Good Old Wagon.

Once the albums are out, I’ll have CD release parties in Rhode Island and Massachusetts:

Saturday October 12 - ALBUM RELEASE PARTY

This will be a free show. The fantastic Isabel Castellvi will be the opening act -- she's a singer-songwriter, a cellist, and a guitarist, and I recently went to see her perform and was blown away. https://isabelcastellvi.com/

For some of my songs, I'll joined by some of the musicians who recorded with me, including Lauren Monroe, Richard Haller, Keith Munslow, John Cote, and Chris Stovall Brown. If you're in the area, come by and say hello! There will be no cover, but note that Myrtle is 21+ and strict about it.

Myrtle has given me the go ahead to simulcast the show on my Twitch channel, so those of you not in the Rhode Island area should be able to watch too! I love the venue and have been to a bunch of shows there — nondrinkers should try their mocktails, which I am a big fan of!
