Client Notification: Daylight Savings Issues

IM&T wish to advise that a number of Daylight Savings issues are
currently being experienced throughout CSIRO, similar to those being
felt throughout many government agencies and organisations around
Australia.

Last night, Western Australia returned to standard time however NSW, the
ACT, Victoria and South Australia recently decided to align with
Tasmania and remain on summer time until April 6.

As a result, a large number of electronic devices have automatically
adjusted their time back one hour.

Specific issues identified within CSIRO at this time include:

* Blackberry handsets - handsets have reverted back one hour
resulting in the displayed time and some appointments being displayed
incorrectly.

* Outlook calendars - recurring meetings may be one hour out for
the week ending Friday 4th April. If unsure, please confirm times with
meeting organisers.

* CISCO IP Phones - some IP phones displays will also be one
hour out. A patch is being applied to correct this and all phones will
be corrected prior to start of business tomorrow, Tuesday 1st April. If
you require that this update is applied prior to this time, please
contact the Enterprise Service Desk.

IM&T are working with vendors in an effort to correct these issues.

Further information will be provided through IM&T's Incident Information
page (http://intranet.csiro.au/alerts).

Contact: If you have any questions please call the CSIRO Service Desk
on 02 6276 6666 or 96 6666.
