It looks promising, but I can't say I'm impressed with the output
right now... I mean, given that input:

Hello world [link][1].

I get this:

Perhaps it'd be a good idea to use real paragraph tags. Once that's
done, you'll be able to compare against the expected output for all
the tests in [MDTest][].
