Chilhowie

Hi:
I'm trying to figure out  how to  model Chilhowie, Va., on the N&W Pulaski
district. I've got a few old photos looking east showing the depot and what
appears to be a grain mill/silos. Anybody have any memories of the
industries serviced by rail in the town center pre-1960. Also,how was the
east end of the old depot configured? I assume the depot was on the north
side of the tracks? None of this exists now BTW, so personal examination
last year was fruitless. Pls. advise,
