Saturday, Sept. 4th, John Zuro and I drove down to Roanoke and visited
the museum. It's in the beautifully restored Norfolk & Western
passenger station in Roanoke, just a few blocks from the Virginia
Transportation Museum.

The Link museum is great! It not only includes many, many of Mr. Link's
excellent images of N&W steam, but also explains a bit of the how and
why of the project.

One of Mr. Link's conditions for participating in the project was
preservation of the only surviving N&W "A" locomotive, and it's in the
VMT, cosmetically restored but missing pieces, under a newly constructed
roof, next to the "J".

I encourage you to consider a visit.
