I have one of those postcards in my collection.  (I think  they're still 
commercially available.)  As the article says, under a  magnifying glass, there is 
absolutely no doubt that the lettering on the cab  side is some "silverish 
metallic" color, verifying the aluminum if  there was any doubt.
