>SACRAMENTO, Calif. - "Locomotion and the Good Life: The Railroad

>Photography of O. Winston Link" opens Saturday, Nov. 3, at the

>California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento. The photographer

>signed all 36 of the framed, original prints in the exhibition. The

>exhibit recognizes the railroad work of O. Winston Link, the Brooklyn,

>N.Y., native and commercial photographer who became well known for his

>night views of Norfolk & Western steam in the late 1950s. For Link,

>the steam railroad was a vital ingredient to "the good life" in

>America, an essential part of the fabric of American life. It is this

>quality - of life, not machinery - which he captured in his

>photographs. The exhibit continues at the California State Railroad

>Museum through March 9, 2008.

>The exhibit is organized by Thomas H. Garver and produced in

>collaboration with the Center for Railroad Photography & Art. It will
