------
It is reported that the Pennsylvania will turn over to the Norfolk and Western its Columbus - Sandusky line, formerly known as the Columbus, Sandusky and Hocking. to be operated in connection with the Norfolk and Western in the coal-carrying trade at Lake Erie.
The Pennsylvania has had plans prepared for an extension of the dock facilities at Sandusky. One plan is for the extension of the present dock, and another plan is for the building of a crosstown line and new docks to be located in the east end of the city.
It has not yet been decided which plan will be adopted, but it will in the near future. Extensive changes will be made and the dock facilities will be greatly enlarged, so that a much heavier business can be readily handled.
The government will soon commence the work of improving the west end channel at Sandusky and when the work is completed vessels can be loaded to 18 feet from the present Pennsylvania dock.
