Mustn't Interfere

   Blacksburg, Va., Dec. 19 - Special - Engineers of the Tidewater 
railroad located near Merrimac mines received orders this afternoon 
from the head office in Norfolk not to interfere with the Virginia 
Anthracite railroad in the carrying of freight and passengers until 
further notice.
   While no time limit is set, this is taken to mean that the short 
line will be able to continue their service between Blacksburg and 
Christiansburg, certainly until the week's heavy travel is over. 
Trains are running as usual on the line tonight.
