Gordon is correct in this statement... 136 and 141 are what NS currently uses... so while you'll find 132 RE and an assortment of other rail systemwide, when it gets replaced with new rail, it wil get replaced with one of these two.

141 RE is fast becoming the new standard... before it was AREMA approved, it was 141 AB. AB stood for Atkinson-Bowman, the last names of the two engineers who developed it... Randy Bowman of NS, and Sam Atkinson Jr of UP. Almost the entire CNO&TP mainline is 141 AB, rolled and aid in 2001.
