Hmmmm...an N&W G?

It sure does look like one. My records show that G-1s numbers 301 and 302
were sold to the US Govt on 1-10-1944. Since the film footage was made 8-10
March 1944 on the Claiborne-Polk Military RR [in LA], the engine, which was
numbered 4, very well could have been one of these old engines.

Does anyone have anything about where the 301 and 302 went, and how and
where the govt used them?
