N&W talk in York

Thanks to all who offered advice about what to do in Roanoke. I visited the Link Museum, the Virginia Transportation Museum and the N&WHS Archive. Add to this the excellent service received at the Hotel Roanoke and the superb weather and you couldn't wish for a more interesting and enjoyable day. 

I also had the priviledge of giving my 'O.Winston Link and the N&W' presentation to a friendly crowd at the Crewe Railroad Museum. A bit like 'taking coals to Newcastle'!

For those resident in the UK my next presentation is on Monday 17 Nov. at the York branch of the NYMR. They meet at the New Earswick Sports & Social Club, White Rose Avenue, New Earswick YO32 4AD. The meeting starts at 19:45. All are welcome. Contact is John Meredith 01904 707207.
