ONLY HALF A MILE
------
of Track to be Laid Before Virginian Is Unbroken Line

Manager Raymond Dupuy, of the Virginian railway, returning to Norfolk Monday from an inspection of that road announced that only one-half mile of track must now be laid before the Virginian shall be an unbroken line from Norfolk to Deepwater, W. Va., 442 miles. The half-mile of track is to be laid upon the New River bridge and Bold Branch viaduct [480' long, 1 mi. east of Stone Mountain, ca. MP 216.6] in Bedford county, Va. These structures, yet incomplete, will be finished by January 1.
------
[Don't bet on the January 1 completion date.]
