Reid's "Virginian Railway" shows up on eBay pretty regularly and Amazon.com and usually goes for a reasonable price. You may be aware of this book; "When the Steam Railroads Electrified" originally published by Kalmbach and more recently was printed as a revised addition by Indiana University Press. It has a lot of good information on Railroad Electrification in the US. You can also find it on eBay and Amazon.com regularly.

Best regards,

Ed Painter; Narrows, VA currently Russellville, AR

You can get a good start by getting Mason Cooper's book on the N&W
electrification. H. Reid's "Virginian Railway" has a good bit of
information about the Virginian electrification, but it's out of print. Go
to the N&WHS website.
