If one goes to the Historic USGS Maps site at http://historical.mytopo.com/
and checks out the Bland and Burkes Garden maps, there is a dashed line
from Sutier on up Hunting Camp Creek and continuing down Lick Creek.
It could just be a jeep trail or it could be the remains of a logging line. I'll
have to dig it out at home, but the Appalachian Trail guide for the section
of trail that climbs from Lick Creek up to Chestnut Mountain mentions
an old railroad grade at one point.
