Freight Wreck on Clinch
A freight wreck occurred at Cleveland, on the Clinch Valley division yesterday, in which several freight cars were broken up. They were loaded with carpet, but the damage to the goods was not great. The accident happened right at the depot, the wrecked cars knocking the semiphore [sic] down.

Section Foreman Killed
C. B. Harlow, a section foreman on the Norfolk and Western, was killed in a tunnel Sunday morning near Roderfield by a freight train. His body was horribly mangled. Further details are not known.

Struck by a Train
John Dingess, a fifteen-year-old boy, was struck Sunday morning by Norfolk and Western passenger train No. 7 near Thacker and badly injured about the head. He was taken to the Miners' Hospital at Welch, and it is thought he will recover.

Start Work on Bridge
The Norfolk and Western has started work on the superstructure of the east end bridge to connect with the county macadamized road to Princeton, and one span has already been placed. The contractors are making good headway on the road and it will be completed in a short time.
