I appreciate you kindness in pointing out my spelling error……….spelling has always been a challenge.

Spell check will only find miss-spelled words. It doesn’t help if a wrong word is used but spelled correctly! Yes it is Angel’s Rest!

Jim, could you send me your mailing address and phone number. My computer crashed a while back and I lost a bunch of info. I have some things I need to send you. Thanks. painteea at westinghouse.com<mailto:painteea at westinghouse.com> or alcoc628 at suddenlink.net<mailto:alcoc628 at suddenlink.net>

Not being picky Ed, but it is Angel's Rest, so named because of a legendary descent of an angel to the top of the mountain. Jim Nichols

Gordon,
If I recall from Boy Scout hiking trips that this cavern was on Angle’s Rest (the name of the mountain between Narrows and Pearisburg). We never attempted to go down into the caverns but I recall the opening and being told stories about all that went on there when the caverns were open. Your pictures are amazing. Thanks for sharing them.
