Which Norfolk bridge is this?

Tom:
I said USCGS-Berkley was still active in '65, but I believe it was 1963
that I was there. After active duty in the "Midgette Navy" I had to serve
two weeks each summer before getting discharged. It was in '63 that
I was assigned to the cutter Chincoteague which docked at Berkley.
The first week, we anchored off Lynnhaven Inlet and performed S&R
(Search and Rescue) duty. Using binoculars, I could barely see PRR's
car floats crossing the bay. Ah, but the next year I was sent to Jackson-
ville Naval Air Station. The barracks I was assigned to was near U.S. 1
and from the, uhm, head, I could see ACL's purple people-eaters hurling
the Champions into Jacksonville-- without ever having to stand up.

Bridge 5-A ? Believe it was constructed sometime in the 40's. You
gotta remember that THE merchandise yard at that time was adjacent
to Norfolk Terminal Station near Water Street. It wasn't until the mid 50's
that merchandise traffic was concentrated at Portlock. At Water Street,
trains doubling out and switchers needing tail room used the westbound
main track. Blocking Norfolk street crossings was a "no-no" and once
a hopper train pushed the "go" button at Lamberts Point, waiting for
a movement to clear at Bridge 5 would have blocked many a boulevard,
so another track was added for flexibility.
