Juanita,

My great grandfather was the engineer on passenger trains Nos. 1 and 2 that stopped in Shenandoah. In fact, he died in 1938 of a sudden heart attack while staying at the Shenandoah Y.M.C.A. during a layover.

If you find a copy of the book, let me know and I will gladly buy it and donate it to your museum in his memory.

I have a question you may be able to help with.

The Town would like to have the book titled “Norfolk & Western Shenandoah Valley Line” by Mason Y. Cooper in our museum room. This book contains many photographs and information about the rail yard in Shenandoah.

Do you know anyone who may have an extra copy they would like to donate or sell cheap to the Town for our museum?

Thanks for your help! Juanita
