N&W Blue on new diesels

At the time of the NKP-Wabash merger, I was an apprentice electrician at Shaffers Crossing. Seeing the new locomotives arrive in the blue livery was one thing, but to see a previously all black, greasy, oily Alco RS-11 come out of Roanoke Shops all painted and shiney in blue was quite a site. Also for some time after the merger, when everything was painted blue, another thing was to travel 24th Street or Shenandoah Ave in Roanoke and observe all the new blue out buildings that matched, was also quite a thing to see....
