BOTH LEGS CUT OFF
------
Fireman Burton Victim of Frightful Accident
Rufus Burton, a Norfolk and Western fireman, who lives in this city, lost both his legs yesterday at Pocahontas, when the engine which he was riding passed underneath the tipple in such a manner that he was dragged from the engine and thrown beneath the wheels, where both legs were ground off above the ankles. He was picked up and taken to the Bluefield Sanitarium on a special train. His mother, who was informed of the accident, was prostrated when she saw the plight her son was in.
