Twice-A-Month Payday
Railroad men here are interested in a bill now before the Virginia legislature having for its purpose a twice a month payday for shop men and certain other classes of railroad employes in this state. It is said the bill will be favorably reported from committee, which practically insures its passage. A similar bill enacted by the legislature two years ago was vetoed by Governor Mann. Should the present bill get through both houses it is hardly probable the governor would again veto the measure in view of the criticism he met from the labor unions two years ago. The present bill does not cover as many classes of employes as the previous one embraced.
