Caught Between Two Cars
Ed Mattox, of 1040 Wayne street, was injured at an early hour this morning when he was caught between two box cars in the east end yards. He was crushed about the hips, but the extent of his injuries is not believed to be of a fatal nature. He was conscious when taken to St. Luke's hospital at 3 o'clock this morning. Mattox succeeded in releasing himself from his dangerous position when the cars which had bumped together jumped apart.

Killed on Double Track
Mike Edwards a white miner living at Davy, was struck by fast freight No. 84 Tuesday night and Killed. It is the old story of double track and stepping out of the way of one train into that of another.
