BAD ROADS CAUSE OF HOTEL'S FAILURE
------
Iron Lithia Springs Property Sold--Resort Will Be Reopened in Near Future
The Iron Lithia Springs property, consisting of 15S [sic] acres of land, the hotel with thirty rooms, the annex with thirty rooms and eleven cottages, was sold yesterday by M. A. Lowe, of Athens, trustee, to Joseph Keys, of Roanoke, Va., for $5,100. The buildings were erected in 1909 and the hotel was opened at that time. Because of the distance from the railroad station at Tip Top, and the bad roads leading to the hotel it never was a big success. The purchaser, Joseph Keys, who was in the city last night said he expects to see the hotel reopened and it is possible arrangements may be made whereby many of the former stockholders in the company will become interested in it.
