General Superintendent Speculation
    W. J. Jenks went to Roanoke last night.  In view of the fact that high officials of the road have several times stated that the first news of the appointment of a general superintendent would be the announcement to the man appointed, it is thought that Mr. Jenks will receive notice of his appointment on this trip.

[As set out in earlier articles, this speculation is over a replacement for General Superintendent George P. Johnson, who was expected to go to the DT&I Railway.]
