For a guy who's stuck back in the GP-9 era, what is the distinguishing
feature of an SD40E? Also, in the photo of a pair of SD40Es I did not see
the characteristic EMD dynamic brake bulge on the carbody.

The SD40E's have primarily been in captive pusher service on the West Slope
outside of Altoona, usually in 3 or 4 unit sets. A few single units have
managed to escape and roam the system. Saw my first one here in N. Ga. two
weeks ago on a SB manifest from Linwood to Atlanta.
