I'm glad to see you question the use of the term "Mollies" for N&W Class M
locos. It seemed strange to me the first time that I saw it used by a
railfan. We had an M as the yard engine in Durham, NC, during a couple of
summers that I worked in the shop there, and I never heard any shop
personnel or the crews call it a Mollie.
