Jim -

I'm inclined to say yes. Did you by chance see a concrete bridge identification post at either end of the bridges?

The image ending with "164" shows three number painted in black with a white background. I can't make them out. Can you advise how they read?

At Twin Branch, there is a sharp horseshoe curve in the Tug Fork. Just to the North of the current #2 tunnel, the Davy Roderfield road is carried over the Tug Fork on an old narrow bridge, then through the hill by means of a tiny, rough, one-lane tunnel, then across the Tug Fork again on an a matching bridge (see photos). I suspect that these bridges and small tunnel carried the N&W main at one time, prior to a re-alignment to improve operations. Can any one corroborate this? Would these bridges and tunnel have had numbers? When the new ones were built, would the numbers have been re-used, or would new ones have been assigned?
