Large Format Photos

Aubrey raises a possible explanation. And it appears to me that there are no head end cars  on this train but rather old coaches ahead of the late 1940s, early 1950s equipment. If that is correct, then this is a “special” train and not one of the regular passenger train and could further support why this was taken on the Lynchburg Belt Line.

425 looks like it’s a J on single track.  That makes it on the Bristol Line, but just where I haven’t a clue.

The O. Winston Link Museum is preparing a display of large format N&W photographs from the NS Goode office building in Atlanta.  This photo collection is currently located in the NWHS archives, and the photos for the Link display are being loaned by the NWHS archives.

The attached three photos of trains need location information to go into the captions to be displayed with the photos.  If you can supply that information,  please do so, referring to the lower number on the yellow note on each photo.
