 Tracy,
Sorry to be so late in responding.
I want to compliment you on your Virginian Passenger Station painting. You have captured a beautiful view of the Station area at the foot of Mill Mountain at the east end of the Virginian yard. And beside that, you portray the scene at my favorite time of year, Fall. The colors are gorgeous. You have turned a dirty old railroad yard into a beautiful work of art.
As one of the Roanoke Chapter members who served on the Virginian Station Committee, which toiled for fifteen years to bring this unique and beautiful building back to life, I appreciate your attraction to, and your respect for, the Station. I am very proud of it, and it's great to see that someone else shares my admiration for it.
Thanks for a job well done, and I wish you the best in your future paintings.

Happy Memorial Day!Just wanted to let you all know that my painting "South Yard, Roanoke 1953" has been published in the June issue of "Railfan and Railroad" magazine, page 58. The article, Colorful Freights: Portraits of Railroading features several nationally known railroad artists and I am honored to be included in this group! Also, the next article features Christiansburg sub and is very informative with lots of nice photos.
I hope this might generate interest in the station and the general Roanoke area from somewhat of a different source than usual.
BTW, the painting has been juried into the 2018 National show at the Bower Center for the Arts in Bedford and will hang through the month of June.
