    I think the sign is correct you just can't read the tenths . The
railroad is 706 6/10 miles long. So the sign could read 303 8/10----402 8/10
so you could 
only shift it   3/10 one way or the other. Hope this makes since .And I am
not a wiz at math so I could be wrong .

Abe,

Several post re Fairlwan-Schooler have been scrubbed for some reason,
therefore I missed your wonderful post which included the lovely photo of
Schooler Union Station (attached again).

However, the mileage signs on the depot have been incorrectly doctored and
therefore do not help much (at least not me).

Our milepost choices on Schooler Hill are 303/404, 304/403, 305/402,
306/401, and so on.

There is no 303/402 milepost.
