 John,
I believe most of the Link negatives still exist (some may have been stolen by his wife along with some of his recordings), because I have copies of the available ones from a project I did for the museum some twenty years ago.  I don't know how functional the museum still is, so you'd have to contact them directly.  All of my contacts have left.

 Mike,
Thanks for reversing the image. Really helps.

Dave,
Great extra info.
Does this original negative still exist? And if so, I assume it's
located in Roanoke at the Link museum. Could it be viewed through a
loupe to possibly determine the number? (I don't know museum protocols).
It really is a close call between 610 and 611.

The four J's that I have for modified rods were 600, 605, 610, 611.  So
with your photo, we've narrowed that to two.  Really does look like 611
in the negative enlargement, but the top part of the second "1" does
look a little different  from the top part of the first "1"............
Thanks for posting!!
